I am Amitava Mukherjee; a 72yr old Mechanical Engineer who has spent his whole lifetime in the maintenance design & setting up of Steel Plant Equipment.

After retirement I have realized that time has gone flying by,- whilst I had been engrossed in abject corporate slavery to a corporate giant.

This page and its companions have been created to share my experience and other thing that I have tried to do with you all.

I hope you will enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoyed making or compiling them!

I am an Indian, and I stay in India. India is a country whose diversity and rich heritage and culture is something one has to see for himself to beleive!
India has 30% of its people living under the poverty level.
To get an idea of what poverty is all about the following information may help:
* Labor is cheap, one can get a man to drive one around for US$ 75/- per month.
*  A family of four can live comfortably at US$ 200/- per month.
* Poverty means that many do not get a square meal every day.
Yes there is chaos, poverty can be seen on the roads, Cows do roam around an the street, and India totally shocks the sensibility of the first time visitor from the west, but it is a still a great country to live in.
I live in the Steel Town of Jamshedpur, named after a great visionary, Sri. Jamshedji Tata, who established a Steel Plant in a small Village here named Kalimati, 100 years ago. It is this base and other things he had given India which helped India's industrialization, after its independence from British rule.
ME, MY WIFE, MY SON, and MY DAUGHTER.
